This living room started out very dated, dark and heavy. We made the room feel much taller by removing the chunky corbels from the beams and adding drywall over the dark tongue and groove ceiling. Most notably, we removed the corner river rock fireplace and relocated a custom hand built modern firebox accented with LED lights that give it the appearance of hovering just above the European Oak hardwood floor. To complete the look our craftsmen installed mitered edge 4'x8' Onyx porcelain slabs laid out in a book-matched pattern to compliment the adjoining kitchen and wet bar.
