A Multi-Generational Property Designed for Connection and Comfort

This Scottsdale property was reimagined from the ground up to create a cohesive, multi-generational living environment. Our clients came to us with the goal of building a forever home where three generations could live side by side—while maintaining privacy, independence, and functionality for everyone.

City code restrictions prevented a detached garage, so we designed a connected garage structure with two distinct sides: a side-entry 3-car garage facing the new casita for the grandparents, and a front-facing 2-car garage for the main house—each with its own driveway and use.

We expanded the main home by 1,000 square feet and converted a 1,500 square foot workshop into a fully custom, high-end casita for Grandma and Grandpa. Outdoor spaces were just as important, with a site layout that supports both shared gatherings and quiet retreats—a place where each generation can connect or recharge in their own way.

This project is a perfect example of how thoughtful design can bring families closer—without sacrificing space, style, or function.
