Port Hope Sanctuary

Settled in a new residential community, our clients could see Lake Ontario down the valley, in between the houses. This 'park like' backyard, void of fences, was too tranquil to dampen its view with a bulky deck.
The builder deck was just that.
When designing this family's new deck, we took into consideration not only the view, but the over functionality of the layout. One level, opposed to a multi-tier design, allowed for the Lake Ontario sight from any part of the deck. Whether you were siting in the hot tub, having coffee in a lounge chair or eating dinner on a summer evening, you could see all the view had to offer.
We used Trex capped-stock composite 'Enhanced' decking, Trex Transcends railing posts with Stainless Steel glass clamps and 10mm tempered glass.
The hot tub privacy screen was made with Trex post sleeves and frosted glass inserts. Helical Piles support the deck instead of traditional concrete piers.
