We tailored the kitchen layout to meet the client's cooking and entertainment needs and formed a connection between the kitchen and living spaces. The custom eight-­‐ foot long stainless steel hood and marble slab backsplash, with pocket doors that screen the hidden storage, create a dramatic backdrop for the kitchen. A contrasting combination of fumed larch wood veneer and white conversion varnish cabinetry establish a palette that does not compete with the client’s colorful art collection. The functionality of the space is finished off with solid surface counters, a stainless steel backsplash, and hidden appliance garage.
