Despite having ample room in their new Philadelphia townhome, our clients humbly resisted the urge to tear down walls and build a massive modern kitchen. Instead, they listened to the home and decided to thoughtfully renovate their small rear kitchen in order to make it look and function better for their growing family.
We were able to maintain several original details, including the exposed brick wall and woodwork which leads to the adjacent dining space, while providing the entire space with a warm modern aesthetic with a bit of urban influence.

Our European cabinetry, made by Mobalco in Spain, quieted the noise of the once dark and busy kitchen and offered the perfect backdrop for brand new Fisher & Paykel appliances and quartz countertops and backsplash.

Overall, the layout of the space remained basically the same; we kept the peninsula where it was as it functioned well for our clients. Instead of a closed-off pantry, we designed a coffee bar/breakfast station, where we incorporated a fun pop of color in a hexagon tile arrangement.
