R.G. Residence
This Encinitas house has many different outdoor seating areas. There is a custom made outdoor kitchen including a 36" serving counter, bar seating, and BBQ. It is a CMU wall with a smooth stucco finish toped with a slab stone counter top. For those sunny days, there is a solid roof pergola over the cooking area made of IPE wood framed with polycarbonate for water protection. Raingutters are installed, yet hidden. The dining area has electric ceiling mounted heaters and low voltage lighting install into the natural wood pergola. Connecting the different areas is a new IPE walkway. Custom deck railing was built around the new IPE deck. This railing is handcrafted with redwood posts and IPE tops caps and stainless steel cables.
The hardscape throughout the property is made of sand finished, uncolored concrete pavers filled with black beach pebbles and exposed aggregate. There is a linear gas fire element faced with black slate tile surrounded by smooth wall stucco seating topped with IPE that doubles as a retaining wall.
