This before and after project was a home with a small back deck and so much usable space to make it more user friendly. We came in and transformed the space by updating the wood deck with EPA boards and stone steps that lead onto a bluestone patio. Along side the new wood deck we built a raised natural stone planting bed for interest and safety, along with a custom metal railing. They had a small slop near the new patio area, so we carved a nice size patio and built a limestone retaining wall around it. The client wanted the ease of a gas fire pit, so before we laid the patio surface, we ran a gas line to the fire pits location.
