When the builder designed this home, he wanted it to feel like a luxury country ranch. It is located on several acreages of land in Long Lake, MN.

What’s more luxury than entertaining poolside during the warmer months? The natural limestone patios and custom vinyl pool say it all, along with an outdoor kitchen and two fire features! The views from this home are impeccable with woods surrounding and views of open grass fields, nicely set back-set back from Tamarack Road; it eludes peacefulness. When designing the plant material around the pool and patio, we didn’t want to block any of the windows but needed to add a pop of color throughout the summer months. We chose a variety of Rudbeckia for color and Boxwoods for the round shape and low growing to soften the edges around the pool and patio.
The large front entrance off the long curvy, circular driveway was large enough for a front patio. We installed natural limestone pavers under the pergola/overhang for the patio and walkway. When designing the plant material for the front, we wanted to enhance the beautiful architectural details of the archways and expansive windows. We chose white flowering Hydrangeas shrubs for a border and pop of color that will last most of the summer months, along with Karl Forester Grasses for texture and height and Boxwood shrubs to soften the geometric shapes.
