The view from the family room shows the dining room and living room. The decorative glass divider in the foreground is hand-etched, which provides a beautiful separation as well as an open feeling. The one inch drop ceilings are decorated with wallpaper, setting the dining room apart from the living room. The built-in hutch with lighting shows off the owners’ heirlooms, while hardwood flooring adds to the ambiance.

The remodeled family room has an entertainment center and electronic sand-filled fireplace below. The entertainment center background is black beveled glass, which artistically surrounds the TV and fireplace, with two flanking cabinets. The ceiling detail is a 1’’ drop section with decorative molding, centered by two complementary designs of wallpaper. The tile floor makes for easy cleaning.

The bathroom remodel has a unique blend of tiles and granite, providing a traditional feeling. The counter is made from gray-colored porcelain, a Kohler product. The floor tile was set on a diagonal with the same material border, while the cabinet stain and mosaic tiles balance the color in the room.

In the rear of the home we added a deck and trellis system, which provides the owners with a great place for relaxation, outdoor meals, and entertainment directly off the family room. The deck and trellis system is made with a Trex waterproof product, which requires no maintenance and yet looks like real wood, stained. The Trex trellis has small gaps between the individual 2’’ x 2’’ slats, providing excellent sun filtering.
