We were invited to collaborate with Hotelier Ian Schrager, Marriott and Yabu Pushelberg Interior Design and Debby Nevins on Edition: Waikiki. This hotel, since renamed Honolulu Moderne is located south of the famous Hawaii beach. Since the location was not beachfront, we were tasked with building a beach on the fifth floor of the building, as well as design a larger pool deck on the third floor. Jennifer was on site for all construction administration and provided lead design services.
Fun story -- you can't buy large specimen trees at Hawaii nurseries - there's no demand for them. So instead, our contractor scoured the island until he was able to buy 25 matching Autograph Trees from two different McDonald's parking lots. These were the trees we used for the main pool deck!
