Matthew & Karine were presented with a ship's wheel by the homeowner and asked to incorporate it into the custom railing with a bronze handgrip. Matthew seized the opportunity to come up with a delightful and creative kinetic sculpture component to this nautical railing. As the wheel is turned it's mechanized components move a "piston" into the floor, as if powering some unseen element in the home. Hook up the coffee grinder perhaps?
