Roslindale Triple Decker

This project was a challenge, from top to bottom, but in the end it came out excellent!

We totally removed all three existing decks. The only thing that remained was the roof. Slowly, but surely, beginning with the footings, we built the decks back up. All balustrades are mahogany, as is the decking on the 2nd and 3rd floor decks. The decking on the first floor is Trex. All trim is PVC.

Brand new, from the footing on up to the roof. The roof was the only thing left untouched.

These are the plugs we use to fill the holes made by the fasteners. The are milled using a plug cutter, and a scrap of whatever species lumber you are working with.

We take great pride in our affinity for perfection. When we "picture frame"; a deck, as shown here, we run the decking long, and then trim all the boards to length at once, using a Festool track saw. It takes more time than other methods, but it's the only way to guarantee that flawless reveal...
