This project in Sewickley started with the demolition and removal of the pool’s existing concrete patio around it, the pool walls, and pool floor. The new Family Fun pool now has 2x2 waterline tile, Pebble Tec floor, a custom shallow end bench as well as custom tanning ledge and step entry. The Pebble Sheen pool finish utilizes slightly smaller pebbles than those found in the original PebbleTec pool finishes. The Pebble Tec aggregate pool finish is the perfect choice for those desiring a more luxurious and long lasting finish for their pool. It offers a durable, non-slip and stain-resistant surface. The automated control system has an integrated chemical controller to make maintaining the pool chemistry easier. Pools are more enjoyable with lower maintenance.
The paver patio is comprised of Grandview pavers in the Allegheny blend with an Anthracite Stratford Small border from R.I. Lampus. ProVia’s Saginaw Ledgestone was used for the kitchen base, fireplace and pillars to tie the hardscape together. Caps for the pillars, wood boxes, mantle and fireplace ledge are made from natural cut sandstone, while the coping for the fire pit is Limestone Brussels block by Unilock.
The outdoor kitchen includes a double tiered grill and bar area that gives it more function and makes it more aesthetically pleasing. Nice granite countertops with stone veneer tie into the pavilion and fireplace. This kitchen is equipped with a grill, side burner, storage drawers, trash can and refrigerator. Our designer put a pergola over top to make it stand out more and create its own space while introducing a vertical element and another texture, which is the wood. Our clients were able to put string lights in the pergola to make it a really inviting environment for the parties at night.
The beautiful 16x16 Breckenridge style pavilion with gable roof has a straight beam style with hand-selected, clear-grade Southern yellow pine that is pressure treated and then air dried for enhanced durability. The 8x8 posts are laminated to prevent warping. This pavilion doubles as a pool cabana and is furnished with three sets of storm cloud gray with milano char Sunbrella curtains to give this family privacy while enjoying time with friends and family. Sunbrella fabrics deliver legendary durability, fade resistance and easy care that maintain their color and strength for years without worry. The ceiling has recessed can lights and ceiling fan to extend time enjoyed outside to its maximum potential.
Everything comes together to make this an amazing outdoor living area!
