Shady Front Entry Makeover

This project actually began in 2012 with a backyard renovation, that included major drainage solutions and creation of a family entertaining space. Four years later, the homeowners were ready to renovate their dated front entry and walkway that extended from the driveway to the front door and around the side of the house to join the walkway to the backyard patio.

The front entry landscape makeover phase of the project included a new paver walkway with seating wall and circular patio/landing, completed with materials to match those used in the back yard in 2012. The makeover, which started in April and was completed in November, included handling drainage issues, replacing the old brick step up to the front porch, reducing the former steep slope of the walkway on the side of the house, and replacement of the deteriorating cross-tie wall along the property line. The makeover also included replacement of the dated porch railings and columns.
