The Shop house was designed for first time homeowners. The program included a two bedroom living space with room for entertaining that highlights the views and creates outdoor living areas, as well as a woodworking shop.

There is a 1,280 s.f. house and 1,280 s.f. shop. Cost saving strategies include vinyl impact windows, finished concrete floors, concrete counters, and most of the interior finish work was completed by the homeowners. The house was built using advanced framing and a 4’ modular design to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.

Some of the stand out features of the home include a 15’ live-edge sapele bar top, maple and walnut stairs, curly maple flooring, and river-recovered cypress vanity. The use of built in cabinetry and customized solutions with a modern aesthetic make this small house work for a growing family.
