Searching for a property in their price range that would allow them to pursue their vision, the Owner ultimately selected a relatively steep site at the end of a winding road in the hills overlooking Silicon Valley. The goal was to renovate and add onto the existing house.

Armed with a modest budget and a vision, we explored various designs for a professional couple that hosted guests on occasion as well as worked from home and worked-out at home. In every vignette it was about the views. They can practically reach out and touch the heart of Silicon Valley which rests beyond their deck. The A-frame structure of the main living space afforded an expansive view of the Valley, not only form the living space, but also from the 2nd floor loft. On the sides of the hills were large arroyos that cold be taken in from the master bedroom, dining, kitchen and 2nd floor office. Even as you approach the house from the driveway the magnificent Valley views give way to the geometrically-rustic house.
