This is a 2 story Bank Building built in 1906. The space was last remodeled in the 70', hiding many of the original details behind paneling and suspended ceilings.
We remodeled and re-designed the main area lobby and offices salvaging and bringing to the forefront the original details like the tin ceiling, African mahogany trim work, Tiffany brick detail, and vault doors. Plaster was removed and new walls were framed and insulated without sacrificing any of the old details. Walls were added carefully considering flow and as not to destroy the original character. The original window openings in the offices were opened again to give a view to a newly created courtyard. Any trim work that was missing was carefully recreated in the style and wood species of the original woodwork. The existing trim was stripped of years of paint and restored so it could be reused.
The 2nd story of the building was converted to an apartment for executives and a conference room. Walls were removed and the spaces were re-designed to fit modern conveniences. 14' ceilings and exposed ductwork are a feature to the apartment area.
