Before - A crumbling asphalt driveway is barely visible, and the weeds have severely taken over the lawn and garden.

With the vegetation wiped out, it's now time to tackle the hidden asphalt and start to excavate for the new driveway.

Heavy duty fabric, 16" of compacted limestone aggregate, underground drains, a floor drain, and geogrid were put down for the foundation of this new permeable driveway.

The "Aquastorm" permeable pavement is being laid from the bottom and going uphill toward the alley. Although the new driveway is permeable, we installed a floor drain at the very bottom to ensure no water runoff found its way into the garage.

The permeable pavement is in place! Next, we'll tidy up those bond lines and ensure these interlocking cells look perfect.

We filled the cells with a topsoil and sand mixture, applied grass seed, and installed a sprinkler system solely dedicated to watering the seed. The new Kentucky bluegrass lawn is also covered by the sprinkler system.
