Transitional Tosa Kitchen
This kitchen resides in a classic tudor home in Wauwatosa, WI. The homeowner is an avid home chef, and the cabinet layout was designed to maximize the functionality of the work space. A well-loved butcher block cart can be pulled up next to the cooking zone as an additional work space. Since the homeowners did not want to to commit to a built-in island, they instead opted for a casual, counter-height pub table to seat guests while preparing for dinner. Adjacent to the kitchen is a full-sized dining table for sit-down meals.
The cherry cabinets featured here have a simple mission style and a warm and glowing stained finish. The countertops are Verde Butterfly granite, and the backsplash is a neutral porcelain tile with just enough of an accent as to not detract from the richness of the finishes. The light fixtures add personality to the space and were chosen to complement the clean, artistic style throughout the home.
