LDa previously provided interior design services for this family’s home in and was subsequently asked to help them get settled in their new New York City apartment in the vibrant Tribeca neighborhood. Moving from a 4,000 sf shingle-style home to a more modest 1,800 sf apartment required careful inventory of existing furnishings to determine what would join the move, as well as selection of new, more appropriate apartment-scaled furnishings. New paint, furniture and accessories were added to reflect the new space’s more modern architecture and open-plan layout. The resulting home balances the memories of Massachusetts with the family’s new urban lifestyle.
