This Birmingham project was a collaboration between Senior Landscape Designer Lynn Cavanaugh and longtime Four Seasons clients. The clients came to Lynn with a vision to transform their already beautiful backyard into a true outdoor living space. Their goal was to be able to use the area during the winter months.

We installed a more extensive modern patio using Techo Bloc Blu Grande Pavers in Greyed Nickel. Lynn then worked with a carpenter to install a beautiful wood pavilion. Inside the pavilion, a gas fireplace was installed with an outdoor television to turn the backyard into the ultimate entertaining space. The pavilion was installed with a heater and electric sides to close off the area to the Michigan weather. The client is an avid golfer, so a small putting green was installed in the back corner of the yard.

The existing landscape was updated to create more privacy for the clients. Adding additional evergreen shrubs to the perimeter of the lot allowed their backyard to feel like an escape from the outside world. Once the project was completed, this Birmingham backyard was transformed from a simple yard into an outdoor living masterpiece.
