Venice Beach House

BE Landscape Design created a unique fence using the warmth of oiled Redwood and galvanized stallion wire. The goal was to soften the bold architecture as well as create a delineation from the street. This was achieved by varying the height and location of the fence. Asymmetrical boxes built from re-purposed wood, were originally conceived as seasonal veggie boxes, but became the entrance focal point, creating raised beach-grass sculptures. We are in Venice after all! The desire for lots of edibles was not lost however; both parents and kids wanted to know their front yard was producing food. Here's a list of edibles that was designed in and around the front yard. Rosemary, Blueberries (low frost), Artichokes, Pink lemon, Kaffir lime, Passion fruit vine, Fig 'brown turkey'. Eat up!
