Westchester Goes Modern
BE Landscape Design updated this 1950's ranch house. Both the front and backyard needed serious attention. Pink cinderblock dominated the pallet, rubber flooring and overgrown plants added to the challenge of a fresh design. We chose colorful drought tolerant plants for the front yard. The backyard pool and patio were updated with oiled redwood, for the deck, walls and bench. Smooth stucco for the wall planter and fire pit, created a clean contrast to the warmth of the wood. Charcoal grey was used on the cinderblock walls and rectangular grey tiles were chosen for the floor.
