After years of neglect and water issues, we reclaimed this large side yard for entertaining humans, birds, butterflies, hummingbirds not to mention the soil microbiology! The repurposed concrete seating bench helps direct the sheet flow of water into a dry (and sometimes full) river bed. We even added a wooden bridge. There is a large percolation pit that helps to Slow, Soak and Save water during the LA rainy season. A large number of Native CA plants are peppered throughout this lovely strolling garden.
