This contemporary kitchen packed in all the dream kitchen wishes of the client. The kitchen needed to include an office space, island seating for six, and more pantry storage space. The required office space is incorporated in the cabinet to the right of the glass door cabinets behind a lift up pocket door. In addition, the drawers below provide file storage space. Additional pantry space was acquired by removing the wall between the kitchen and hallway and making the space one room. Cabinets were added to the previous hallway space as well as a paneled wall with sliding doors that open into the laundry room. The seating for six on the island was easily incorporated on one end with a table feel, while the other end of the island is working with a sink, pullout waste, and storage.
The flat panel doors in Lyptus stained wood by Ayr cabinetry is contemporary while still being warm and inviting. Additional contemporary details include the stainless steel toe kicks, white painted glass doors with aluminum frames, and stainless steel appliances. The under cabinet lighting is LED strip lighting to create an even effect on the vertical glass tile back splash.
