This traditional kitchen was created by enlarging the original kitchen, removing a laundry room, and placing a large island at the center of the space. The homeowner wanted to remove the kitchen table, and create a "gathering place" where family dinners and entertaining would be welcome. Distressed Dura Supreme cherry cabinetry was combined with crisp white maple cabinets in order to create a clean and airy design that would lighten up an otherwise dark space with limited access to natural light.
