In my solo practice, I designed this whole house remodel/addition in the Rosedale neighborhood in Austin. A second level was added to the diminutive cottage home, nearly doubling its square footage. Roof was extended up, and new spaces were fit within the roof shape. Care was taken to minimize the apparent mass of the second level so as to maintain the curbside charm of the house.
