Kitchen View Transitional Kitchen, DC Metro

Continuing the lines of the existing wrap-around porch, we were able to create a family kitchen with a raised ceiling culminating in a large skylight. The warmth of natural lighting highlights the palate of the material selection. The kitchen extends out to a new deck and yard beyond.

This looks like a Thermador refrigerator, it has a very distinctive top.
It is most likely the 42-inch wide one, they also make a 48-inch wide one.

Incidentally, Thermador refrigerators are made by Whirlpool.

These are teal microfiber fabric Pottery Barn stools, with the legs cut down about two inches to fit the counter.

Benjamin Moore Woodlawn Blue walls and ceilings (with the ceiling color mixed 1 part to 2 parts white).

The skylight is five feet by 9 feet, and is close to 11 feet off the floor to the bottom of the well and about 12 feet to the glass. It is a hip mount skylight, custom made by ORCA Manufacturing of Easton, Maryland. We used insulated glazing, tempered over laminated glass with a lowE coating and UV control.
