This 7' x 8' basement bathroom was expanded three feet to 7' x 11' to accomodate larger lavatory and shower areas.,. It includes a heated tile floor, a spacious shower alcove, and a barn-door style entry.

After, same view. Three feet were added to the bathroom to allow more room. The shower alcove size was increased to 48" x 40" with a 24" x 24" pantry-style linen cabinet beside.

The shelf is slightly tilted in order to shed water easily.

Thermostat can be easily programmed to select two time periods each day when the floor is heated.

During construction, the heating element is laid down in traffic areas. The thermostat is wall-mounted 60" from the floor.

The thermostat is programmed to heat this floor up to 82° f. twice each day., once in the morning and once in the evening. An hour is required to reach that temperature, but even when the cycle ends it takes a long time to cllo down, and the floor never really gets cold.
