A previously dark & cramped kitchen was transformed in to a bright, functional space for an active young family. The doorway to the dining room was widened creating more movement and light throughout the home. The cooktop was placed in the corner to free up countertop space. Cabinets wrapping the wall in to the dining room ties both spaces together and provides a great counter for the coffee area and buffet serving. The island acts as a great prep & storage space as well as breakfast seating. The finishing details include a marble mosaic backsplash above the cooktop and whimsical glass cluster light fixtures.
