Set in the hills above Mulholland Drive, this extensive first floor remodel was the second project we did for this family. In this phase, we gutted the kitchen and recreated the space to be more family friendly with a built-in banquette for dining. The combination of light wood and white cabinetry keeps the space feeling open and light. Quartz countertops with dramatic veining, blue gray tile backsplash, and all new Thermador appliances gives this chef's kitchen a beautiful and welcoming look. We used black accents in the hardware and in the seating to ground the space. The living room, family room and dining room all received new contemporary furnishings that play off the blue and gray palate. A rich blue grasscloth was used in the powder room. White oak flooring was used throughout the home, with octagonal light gray tile in the kitchen and powder room floors.
