Bent glass and cherry
A curved cherry staircase in a classically-inspired great room. Handrails, newel posts, and the stringer (or skirting) are in solid cherry. The treads and risers are in solid brazilian jatoba for it's superior durability over generations of use. This stair features very unique balustrade system as well. Custom bent and cut glass panels were used in place of traditional solid wood or iron balusters. It was very difficult to achieve, but the end result is truly stunning.
