A Simple, custom railing we designed and made around the existing natural stone on the entryway. The structure is blackened-stainless, and a natural, hand-rubbed ipe wood handrail. We love the way the ipe and blackened stainless work with each other, and against the style and color palate of the house. Being a coastal site, we used stainless steel for all the hardware and welded components, with our blackened patina to give it a different look than normal bright stainless. Using solid brazilian ipe for the handrail ensures a rot-free rail.
