This table was custom designed to fit in a unique niche the client had upholstered and installed. They needed to be able to have full use of the table, but still have easy access to the seating. To accommodate these requirements, we engineered and fabricated a track system that allows the top to slide in and out of the seating area. When pushed into the closed position, the table remains locked, but two levers beneath the tabletop allow the user to open and close the table at will. The base is powder-coated steel and the top is a rich combination of ceylon satinwood veneer and solid sapele hardwood.
