Boora 360 House

Integrated stair for a clients residence on the Oregon Coast. The principal design was Christopher Almeida and Tim Gordon of BOORA architects, with Green Gables acting as the general contractor. A very modern, clean design, nestled perfectly into the landscape, this project was a wonderful piece to be a part of. The stair is nested into the steel substructure perfectly, resulting in to visible fasteners or means of fastening at all. The panels are an italian poplar fsc certified veneer, with the handrail, treads, and risers out of rift-sawn white oak. This project was extremely difficult and required a high level of cooperation between the architect, builder, Brian, and us for the design to be realized. In addition to that, we had to ensure that our work merged seamlessly with the rest of the woodwork in the home. The combination of blackened steel and natural wood is just spectacular, but nothing compares to the sunset view.
