A tight curve on this colonial inspired piece keeps the rest of the home's floor plan open and spacious. A traditional spiral stair case would have worked here as well, but we are really happy the owner opted for the open-stringer of a free-standing stair. this means the stair is supported only at the floor and upper story. This means a more free-flowing design and layout, as well as a very unique look for this elegant stair.
