We spent several weeks collaborating with the homeowners and designing to fit their vision; construction took a little over a month to complete. This modern basement finish was transformed from an unfinished space to a large recreational area, wet bar, kids playroom and guest bathroom. Our first goal was to come up with a creative design for their fireplace; we decided on a reclaimed hardwood surround and black quartz hearth. The fireplace itself is an electric back lit fireplace that can change colors to suit your mood. Next we worked on the wet bar design with shaker-style cabinet doors, corbels, industrial-modern pendant lights and open shelving. Once the main focal areas in the basement were finalized, we moved on to the stained concrete floors, sliding barn doors to the playroom and guest bathroom.
