This Seattle-inspired color palette creates dimension and depth to an already unique elevation. The gel stained cedar shakes and turquoise lap siding complement each other well while the light gray stucco garage brings balance. A simple combination of trees, plants and shrubs native to the Midwest climate will offer a beautiful landscape. A creative use of landscape rocks and concrete pads create a walkway to the front door and wrap around the exterior of the home to the covered patio. Finally, the glass garage door was the perfect finish to the exterior of this West Coast Contemporary home.

Turning towards the interior, we were able to combine hints of different design styles that resonated with the homeowners to result in a cozy, contemporary home. The unique placement of windows and their varying sizes bring the West Coast design intent from the exterior to the interior of the home. We added large windows to the back of the house, opening the main level to the wooded backyard and brightening up the great room and kitchen. The tile fireplace that mimics ship lap, glass pendant lights above the island, warm hardwood floors and the herringbone tile backsplash hint towards a farmhouse style. IKEA cabinetry and the stainless steel cabinet hardware bring back a modern touch with the contrasting island and crisp, white countertops.
