For this project we collaborated with the homeowners to achieve a specific architectural design and layout with a very modern style. The IKEA cabinetry contributes to the modern style but also provides a unique functionality not found with the typical kitchen cabinetry you see in many homes. We completed the clean and sleek look of the kitchen by using white quartz countertops with a defined edge profile, LED under-cabinet lighting, and beautiful contrasting wood floors. To create a cohesive design throughout the home, we continued the remodel with a modern approach while respecting the existing structure. Instead of removing, we modified the fireplace and turned it into a decorative focal point in the living area. As for the dining area, the contrast in paint and the transition step separates this space while keeping an open floor plan.
