Colorful Watershed Front Landscape
About 14 cubic yards of soil was added to contour the land and a large Ash removed that leaned toward the house, disrupted the neighbor's driveway and distorted the growth of the Cedrus deodara was removed --allowing sunshine into the garden. Water thirsty plants were removed and a combination of natives, perennials and succulents define the space and attract birds. The downspouts are directed to the dry stream. Two shrubs (Vitex purpurea and Duranta variegata) formerly pruned to balls were pruned to become trees.
