A contemporary addition to a traditional house for an artist and collector. The project aesthetic was inspired by an antique Japanese storage piece and existing contemporary kitchen cabinetry which was reconfigured with a new island and shelving. A wood burning stove gives focus to the sitting room, and the window details are taken from the Japanese cabinet mill work.
