Deco collector's apartment
The 4000 s.f. residence in located in a grand Landmarked apartment building.
The present owners are art collectors and philanthropists. Traditional ornate moldings and drapes were replaced with simple profiles and light sheer curtains.
The interiors were designed to be a backdrop for the clients extensive fine art and furniture collection. Flush full height sliding doors were installed to connect or divide the living and dining rooms. When open, the space becomes a continuous gallery for entertaining. This renovation has won various national design prizes including The Asko Laundry Room Design Contest and The Sub-Zero Wolf Kitchen Design Contest.
