Improved English Cottage Garden
This home in central Barrington was in need of curb appeal refinement. The planting design and layout we created considering local microclimate, bloom and interest season, aesthetic value, has views of the garden from the windows as well as from the street view. English cottage gardens are a mix of two different looks. English would be more formal and cottage is sort of more wild and diverse. By installing a mid-height border of low maintenance perennials, ornamental grasses and shrubs we created a charming and continually blooming english cottage garden here. The new garden seamlessly blends new and existing features with the wild nature bringing pollinators to the doorstep. A properly maintained cottage garden is going to look beautiful for years to come and will add to the value of the home.
