Two precious toddlers were the center of the attention for this young family’s backyard makeover in Mt. Prospect. The main issue was the yard was mainly unusable because of an existing slope, poor lawn, and an absence of spaces for dining and seating.
Homeowners worked with ALD previously and decided to hire us again to create a modern design for their back yard. We collaborated and created the modern minimalistic zen garden design incorporating deck, stairs, new patio and lawn area surrounded by greenery. All the hardscaping was completed by the great contractors and the masters of their craft resulting in amazing expanded, screened in deck connecting the house and the lower patio area by the stairs. ALD installed all of the softscaping; plants, sod, stepping stone path and encased all of it in the layer of beach stone pebbles to give relaxing vibe and evening ambience with overhead string lights.
Now that the yard is complete, the toddlers and all family can enjoy every day and evening outside—eating alfresco, roasting s’mores and running around in the new grass.
