Family Focus
Family Focus is located in Renton, Washington. The family needed more space to enjoy each other's company; in shared living spaces and areas for outdoor activities. The family wanted a space that could offer entertaining outdoor opportunities. Mainly to use Western Washington's beautiful summer weather better.
The Suburbs of Seattle
Renton is a city located within the suburbs of Seattle, Washington. The town sits at the mouth of Cedar River and the southeast shore of Lake Washington. The city's population is ever-growing at over 100,000 citizens. As of 2019, and continues to climb as the city of Seattle expands. The city is home to one of Boeings airplane manufacturing plants and UW Medicine. The local economy of the area is prosperous. Real estate is forever climbing throughout the Northwest. The area offers many hiking areas located just an hour and a half from Mount Rainier and its national parks surrounding the area.
The Elements
The new edition includes an extended living space solving the need for outdoor entertaining, along with the desire for a space to relax and enjoy the "great indoors" during wet winter months. The original home had all bedrooms located on the upper floor of the house, with all shared spaces situated on the ground floor. The remodel and redesign included enough floor space to accommodate the addition of a master bedroom on the ground floor and an open living space that turned into the hub of the house. A meeting place for the family that calls it home is a covered patio added space for grilling and patio furniture that requires protection from the elements.
In addition, the designers at Concept Design LLC worked with the client's needs for various aspects of the home addition. This included sprawling windows surrounding the space so the owners could keep a watchful eye on their growing family at the client's request.
In conclusion, Family Focus is just that; a home remodel considers the family's needs first and foremost. Mindful design is the root of our work at Concept Design LLC.
