Rarely does a project present such a open and level canvas to design around.
With a project like this the challenge often lies in how to create scale and a sense of space in the outdoors. Even though the patio is at one level the overall space feels like three separate rooms. The outdoor kitchen is arranged to create separation between the dinning and cooking area. The fireplace feels like it's own room by incorporating a pergola which reinforces the spatial boundary. While the outdoor spaces work well independently they visually relate well together by continuing the use of the same construction materials throughout.
