Harvest Lane Kitchen

This growing family had a kitchen that needed updating, which was a perfect opportunity to open up the wall between the kitchen and dining room. With different activity zones, this will be a room the family can enjoy together for many years to come.

Opening up the wall between the rooms allowed space for an island. You can also see the three coordinating light fixtures over the breakfast nook, island, and dining table.

We had to relocate the double ovens and pantry when the wall was removed. There is also a shallow pantry with built-in charging station next to a wider pantry with roll-out shelves.

The white perimeter cabinets keep the space bright, and the blue breakfast nook and island are a nice complement with the wood floors.

The kitchen was long and narrow before. New recessed lights, under cabinet LED strips, and decorative fixtures over the breakfast nook, island, and dining table all combine for a brighter, more functional space.

We opened up the wall between the kitchen and the dining room.

We opened up the walls between the dining room and the kitchen and the laundry area.

Before, the cooking area looked at the wall. After the walls were opened up, the cooktop is on the island with a downdraft vent. The refrigerator and double ovens were placed along the perimeter in the new layout.

Before, the microwave took up valuable counter space. In the new kitchen it is in a cabinet under the counter.

Moving the laundry to the basement let us open up the wall behind the laundry to the dining room.
