This couple loves to cook and entertain, but they wanted a more attractive and functional space to let them enjoy that part of their lives. We updated the space with custom cherry cabinets and quartz counters and maximized storage space. By removing the soffits we could use taller wall cabinets, and with a carefully sized farm sink were able to fit drawers and lazy susans for great storage. New focal points for the different entrances to the room include boxing-in the fridge with a display cabinet, glass door cabinets above an auxiliary counter, and a contemporary hood. We also moved the stove to an outside wall so the venting would be most effective, as well as updated the lighting.
