The Design Concept of the home, which was suggested by the challenging site is that of an old English Manor that has been added onto over time. The design has four distinct structures that are planned phased additions over the next several years. The timeless architecture adds comfort and warmth to an already spectacular site.

Architect Elliot Johnson and wife Lisa Chronister's home is featured in the November/December 2008 issue of Natural Home magazine. The article "Minding the Manor" details the home which utlized spray-foam insulation, a 18.4kw Photovoltaic system, and 'cast earth' walls.
