The Owner of this large home wanted to be able to have more casual entertaining spaces for large groups. The 1920's home, while large, had been remodeled and enlarged over the years but lacked some of the openness for entertaining.
The project consisted of removing a series of load bearing walls in an area of relatively small underutilized spaces, removing an unnecessary stairway, and redeveloping a new larger family/entertaining space while maintaining the scale, detailing and charm of the original design.
